چکیده

ABSTRACT Good dispersion of compounded ingredients in a rubber formulation is important for mechanical performance. After mixing, certain materials can remain undispersed within the matrix, which could lead to critical flaws, influencing performance according Griffith failure criteria. High resolution X-ray computed tomography (XCT) offers unique opportunity measure phase domain size and distributions. Fillers such as carbon black or silica be differentiated from sulfur zinc oxide, providing an determine characteristics various phases. The XCT technique has become characterization tool three-dimensional higher dimension material science due availability polychromatic micro-focus sources efficient high spatial detectors with superior scintillators. provides very rich data quantifying mixing efficiency particulates insoluble particles rubber. Imaging X-rays attenuation, phase, scattering contrast will prove method evaluating field crosslinking, considering realistic environments situ. This paper highlights methodology development validation insight on polymeric (insoluble) formulations. Dispersion assessment compared using three techniques: XCT, population survival analysis tensile testing, optical microscopy.

[Quantitative analysis of cholesteatoma using high resolution computed tomography].

Seventy-three cases of adult cholesteatoma, including 52 cases with pars flaccida type cholesteatoma and 21 with pars tensa type cholesteatoma, were examined using high resolution computed tomography, in both axial (lateral semicircular canal plane) and coronal sections (cochlear, vestibular and antral plane). These cases were classified into two subtypes according with the presence of extensio...

High-resolution X-ray computed tomography of impactites

[1] High-resolution X-ray computed tomography (HRXCT) is a nondestructive method used to study the interiors of opaque solid objects. Here we present the results of a first application of the HRXCT method to imaging the interior of impactites, in particular, suevites (glass-bearing impact breccias) from the Bosumtwi (Ghana) and Ries (Germany) craters and a Muong Nong–type tektite from Thailand....

Analysis of Rock Microstructure Using High- Resolution X-ray Tomography

In previous work we have described and validated robust techniques for partitioning the pore space of a porous material into simple regions, thereby allowing it to be represented by a network of simple building blocks. The primary purpose of this analysis is the generation of a pore-throat network for modelling immiscible multi-phase fluid displacements. However, combining our partitioning algo...

Three-dimensional analysis of plant structure using high-resolution X-ray computed tomography.

High-resolution X-ray computed tomography (HRCT) is a non-invasive approach to 3D visualization and quantification of biological structure. The data, based on differential X-ray attenuation, are analogous to those otherwise obtainable only by serial sectioning. Requiring no fixing, sectioning or staining, HRCT produces a 3D digital map of the specimen that allows measurements and visualizations...
